Sheffield based Norwood Metals pleased with their Atlas 350MH Material Handler.

Family run Norwood Metals have been in business for the last 40 years, founded by Brian Hull, operations are now run by sons Jamie and Jason and Jamie’s wife Paula.

Processing circa 15,000 ton of ferrous and non-ferrous metal per year, the team at Norwood Metals needed a scrap handling machine they could rely on. Having run other brands in the past, they invested in the Atlas 350MH material handling excavator from TDL Equipment back in 2019.

Since it’s delivery in March 2019 the Atlas material handler was set straight to work, “we ran another brand of machine for many years but following rising parts and after sales costs, we chose to invest in the up and coming Atlas and it’s really proved itself so far”, explained by Paula.

The Atlas 350MH Material Handler – What to know!

The Atlas 350MH Material Handling Excavator weighs in at 37 ton and offers a max reach of 18.2m – a bigger reach when compared to machines of a similar size in its class!

Powered by a 245HP Deutz 6-cylinder engine, the Atlas 350MH offers a number of innovative features such as the battery isolation function – an automatic 3 minute timer delayed battery isolation function that ensures DEF fluid is returned to the tank and lines are fully emptied before batteries fully isolate.

And the innovative easy access emergency cab lowering safety system – a red button on the side of the cab that allows you to lower the cab from the outside in an emergency.

The Atlas 350MH Material Handler offers class leading service access, the large gullwing canopies open either side of the machine to allow unrestricted access to the cooling pack on one side and the hydraulic system on the other.

The robust chassis design with adjustable stabiliser legs boasts a rising cab to 5.5 metres from ground level and offers rear and side mounted cameras for enhanced visibility and clear and unobstructed views for the operator.

The automatic engaged reversing fan, regularly cleans out the radiator cores, maximising the machines performance and limiting dust and debris build up.

The industry leading and popular Atlas grabs help you to maximise productivity and the 350MH is available with a scrap grab of 600-700 litres. Grab links are available for compatibility with other manufacturer brands.
